This product allows modellers to convert their Airfix and Tamiya Spitfire Mk I kits into a rotol propellor fitted Mk I or Mk II Spitfires without having to buy an expensive limited run kit.
The kit features the new propellor/spinner, control column, seat and coffman starters as well as prop shaft adaptors. This set has parts to convert 2 models. The parts are done in injection moulded plastic and are very crisp and clean.
This set also includes a set of decals that provide markings for one rotol Spitfire Mk I and 3 different Mk II's.
The kit can also be used to backdate the Tamiya Mk Vb Spitfire into a cannon armed Mk IIb but you would need to modify other parts like the exhausts and have the appropriate decals for such a plane.
The kit can be used on the Tamiya Spitfire Mk I, the old Airfix Mk I Spitfire kit, the Series 1 new tool kit that was released in 2010 and the new tool Series 2 kit that was released in 2011. We can supply all of the Airfix Spitfire Mk I's to order.
