EDK1167 1/48 Sukhoi Su-27
The SU-27 Flanker was developed to give the Russians and allies an equivalent to the exceptional F-15 Eagle. The Su-27 entered full service in 1986 after a long and difficult development program. The Flanker is a potent combination of speed and agility combined with the ability to carry up to 10 air-to air missiles of various kinds. The Flanker has been continually developed and improved and serves with many air forces as well as the Russian Navy.
Eduard are a Czech based manufacturer famed for the model accessories. They have in the last few years released a successful range of kits. The Profipacks contain a kit with several marking options, along with a Colour Zoom etch set, Canopy Mask and a full colour instruction booklet.
This particular kit is based on the Academy SU-27 kit to which Eduard have added the usual cockpit colour zoom etch and mask. In addition there is a large sheet of etch to detail the exterior and some Eduard Brassin resin parts, which consist of a new cockpit tub, ejector seat and front wheel fender. There is also an extensive array of air-to-air missiles in the kit and a large new decal sheet.
There are markings for 5 different planes from the following Air Forces: Russia * 2, Uzbekistan, Indonesia and Ukraine
